Pre-patinated zinc
Regional Animal Health Laboratory, Villaquilambre. Pre-patinated zinc facade (caption)
Appearance
Quinta Metálica divides pre-patinated zinc into three colour groups. The first of these groups includes pre-patinated zinc whose surfaces reflect the tone of zinc's natural patina. These finishes have a reasonably uniform look, with a metallic texture like zinc.
The colour of this pre-patinated zinc does not change substantially over the years, maintaining its initial tones from installation.
The second group has much darker tones, almost anthracite, combining particularly well with slate. The colour is eye catching and solid, giving strength and adding presence to any buildings it covers.
The last group has similar colours to the natural patina but with slight shades of other colours. Quinta Metálica was the first installer in Spain to work with this new range of patinated zinc in blue tones. The material keeps its metallic texture as a background and the blue shade is subtle although doubtlessly gives the panelling a very special aesthetic quality.

It is important to be aware of the colours of these materials when selecting other materials and finishes / colours (stone, lacquered woodwork, etc.) for the work so we recommend that you contact us to request new samples or even better, request a visit from our technical consultant so you can be shown new samples and samples that have been aged by exposure for these materials.
All the qualities associated with zinc can be applied to pre-patinated zinc. For more information, see the zinc file.
Pre-patinated zinc can be used in the following systems of ours:
